SIGN UP TO RECEIVE TEXT MESSAGES: 
Parkland School District uses School Messenger, a rapid notification system, that allows for automated calls and emails to phone number(s) and email addresses the parent or guardian has provided to the District. This system will be used in the event of an emergency and to share important information.

To receive text messages, please do both of the following steps:

  1. Contact our main office to make the request, by phone call or email. Maximum 2 text numbers per student.

The Ironton Elementary PTO yearbook sale is now open.  Place your order by Friday, May 3rd.  The cost for a yearbook is $24.  Orders must be placed online and this is the only opportunity to purchase a yearbook.

Parkland Reads Together

Throughout the month of March, all students will be reading the book Socks by Beverly Cleary for our 3rd Annual Parkland Reads Together Event. Please see the links below for the family letter and calendar for more information. We'd love to have photos of your family reading this story together. DISTRICT FOOD DRIVE

Thank you to all our Ironton families who donated pancake mix and syrup to the District Food Drive!  Your generosity is greatly appreciated.


 

GIRLS WHO CODE - Parkland's Girls Who Code program is coming back for the 7th year! This is a FREE club run by students and overseen by club advisor Samantha Edwards, Parkland's Instructional Innovation Specialist. Students in grades 5-8 from ALL Parkland schools are welcome to join the VIRTUAL sessions. Club meetings will be held virtually on Thursdays and will begin March 21st and continue through May 23rd from 4:15 - 5:15 PM. No experience is necessary! A virtual meeting link will be emailed to all registrants before the first session. Register here by March 15th.

If you have a child who is turning 5 years old prior to September 1, 2024, it’s time to register for kindergarten.

Similarly, if you have a child who is enrolled in a private kindergarten program who you are planning to enroll for the first time in Parkland Schools for first grade, we invite you to register now.

The district wide Parkland Food Drive ends this Friday, February 23rd.  Ironton is collecting pancake mix and syrup (plastic bottles only).  All donations will benefit Parkland School District's food outreach programs.  Donations can be dropped off in the bin located in the Ironton lobby.  ~Thank you!

IRONTON BOOK FAIR!

The Ironton Book Fair will kick off with Book Bingo on Friday, February 2nd @ 6:30 p.m.

The book fair will take place between February 5th and February 9th in the Media Center.
