SIGN UP TO RECEIVE TEXT MESSAGES: 
Parkland School District uses School Messenger, a rapid notification system, that allows for automated calls and emails to phone number(s) and email addresses the parent or guardian has provided to the District. This system will be used in the event of an emergency and to share important information.

To receive text messages, please do both of the following steps:

DISTRICT FOOD DRIVE

The district wide Parkland Food Drive ends this Friday, February 23rd.  Ironton is collecting pancake mix and syrup (plastic bottles only).  All donations will benefit Parkland School District's food outreach programs.  Donations can be dropped off in the bin located in the Ironton lobby.  ~Thank you!

Similarly, if you have a child who is enrolled in a private kindergarten program who you are planning to enroll for the first time in Parkland Schools for first grade, we invite you to register now.

IRONTON BOOK FAIR!

The Ironton Book Fair will kick off with Book Bingo on Friday, February 2nd @ 6:30 p.m.

The book fair will take place between February 5th and February 9th in the Media Center.

BAGGED LUNCHES FOR EARLY DISMISSAL - JANUARY 19, 2024

January 19, 2024 is an early dismissal day for Elementary students.   Parents may order a bagged lunch for their child(ren) which consists of a turkey and cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread, a bag of carrots and ranch dressing, an applesauce cup, and an 8 oz water.  

Bagged lunches will be charged at their normal rate to students' cafeteria accounts. On the early dismissal day, your child's bagged lunch will be delivered to their classroom prior to dismissal time.

Order forms are due by noon on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.   You only need to complete a form if you are requesting a lunch.  To order a bagged lunch for your child(ren), please click on the link:  BAGGED LUNCH ORDER FORM

COLD WEATHER ADVISORY

The weather is getting colder and we ask that you please dress your children appropriately for the cold weather - including jackets, scarves, hats and gloves.  Students will go outside for recess when the feels-like temperature is above 20 degrees.

Birthday/Party Invitations 

No edible form of treats will be accepted from an outside source for in-school birthday celebrations.  Should you choose to have an additional celebration in your child's classroom, the following options are available to you: 

• Non-food treats, such as pens/pencils, erasers, stickers, etc. 

• Order a birthday bag from our Food Services Department.  This will be the only edible choice permitted.   BIRTHDAY BAG ORDER FORM

Students are permitted to pass out invitations to parties IF they include the whole class. If it is not inclusive, parents should mail the invitations on their own or communicate in another format. Please be aware that the office cannot provide contact information for other families.
