General Information

If you need to speak with a teacher, please e-mail or leave a voice mail message. Teachers have specific responsibilities once children begin to arrive at school and again at the end of the day, so at these busy times a teacher may not be able to give you their full attention. You may contact your child’s teacher to schedule a meeting at a convenient time for both you and the teacher.

Volunteers and visitors are to report to the office to sign-in and obtain a Volunteer or Visor Badge, and sign–out at the end of the visit.  
An exception is made when visitors attend band and chorus programs held in the cafeteria.

From 8:35 to 8:50 a.m., parents should report directly to the office with any large objects, projects, etc. that need to be delivered to their child’s classroom.  For security reasons parents are asked not to accompany their children to the classrooms.  Teachers on bus duty or our office staff will gladly make sure the items are delivered safely.

After 8:50 a.m., items that children may have forgotten (lunches, instrument, homework, etc.) should be brought to the office and the child’s teacher will be notified.

Homework will be sent home upon parent request.

Parent request for homework need to be made to the office before 10:30 a.m. so that teachers have an opportunity to prepare the work.

Requested homework will be available in the office at 3:30p.m.

Homework will be sent home with a sibling upon request.

Homework will not be sent home with another child unless the parent of that child sends written permission to the school to do so.

MORNING DROP-OFF

If you need to drive your child to school, parent drop off is from 8:35 – 8:50 am at the front entrance of the school.  You will enter through the Mauch Chunk Road parking lot, loop around and follow the arrow to the front stairway where your child will be greeted by a staff member and exit the car.  After 8:50 am, you will need to park in the Levans Road parking lot, walk your child to the front door, ring the bell and wait for a staff member to retrieve your child.

• Pull all the way forward.
• Stay in vehicle.
• Be prepared to show ID.
• Students exit/enter car on the driver side of car.
• Please stay in the car line & do not pass!

END OF DAY PICK-UP

Pick-up at the end of the day is at 3:25 pm at the front entrance of the school. You will enter through the Mauch Chunk Road parking lot, loop around and follow the arrow to the front stairway where your child will be waiting with a staff member to enter the car.  Please be prepared to show ID until we are familiar with you.

LATE DROP-OFF & EARLY PICK-UP

After 8:50 am, parents are to escort their child to the door and wait to be buzzed into the locked vestibule.

Once inside the vestibule, parents will sign in their child.  A staff member will escort your child into the building.

If you need to pick up your child early, you will be buzzed into the vestibule to sign out him/her.  Please provide a note or call the office prior to picking up your child.

If you need to drop off an item for your child, you will be buzzed into the vestibule where you can place the item on the table with a sticky note with your child’s name and teacher’s name.
